Our client, SoaperStars, Perth’s only award-winning hand car wash, returned from lockdown with the desire to do something to help out other local businesses.

We recommended a social media campaign, offering free advertising space for a year and a complimentary advertising board.

The idea was simple, yet extremely effective.

To win entrants had to like, share and comment a local business.

As expected, the competition went viral and achieved an impressive ROI:

Car Wash gives new local business a clean head start, post-lockdown

SoaperStars, Perth’s only award-winning hand car wash, returned from lockdown with the desire to do something to help out other local businesses.

A Facebook competition was the natural choice for the SoaperStars team, with the prize being a complimentary advertising board – a combined package worth over £350.

The Facebook giveaway quickly went viral, with over 100 local businesses entering for the chance to have their business exposed to over 15,000 vehicles per year.

The draw was made by SoaperStars owner Ian Routledge and broadcasted via their Facebook page.

The lucky winners, drawn at random, was ONE Group & Online Fitness – a new online platform focussing on nutrition, group training, wellbeing and fitness.

Heading up ONE Group is Stephen Brown and Adam Cameron, who between them have over 15 years experience in the fitness industry.

Ian, recently invited Stephen and Adam to the SoaperStars car wash on Inveralmond Road, to personally present the duo with their advertising board.

Ian, commented, “We wanted to do something to help and support fellow local businesses who may have struggled due to lockdown. It was great to meet the guys and to hear about their new business. I wish them well and I hope that they gain many enquiries from our customers seeing their ad board.”

Adam, said, “As a new business this is a great opportunity for us to reach a lot of people. We want to thank Ian for not only supplying us with a fantastic advertising board but also putting it in a great location where a lot of eyes will see it.”
